Network Solutions, known as Netsol, climbed up to the #21 in the Silver Club, from the Next 25 position of #29. It grew by 37% during this period with a turnover of Rs 90
crore.

Key orders in 2002 that the company got were ICICI, Accenture, Transworks, Mphasis, Andhra Bank, HSBC, HP and Transworks. Its integration projects in call centers contributed to 47% of the total revenue. IT and telecom, banking and finance segments contributed 26% and 20% growth, respectively.

The highlight of the year was on consulting and designing services. It focussed on building tools specifically for network monitoring, which allows service level agreement management, helped increase its sales. Sudhir Sarma, CEO, says, “Most network integrators have good understanding of data but very little knowledge of voice. We have built a significant voice capability.”

Netsol's main area of networking were banks, financial institutions, software export units and corporate customers. It built several software tools in the PC telephony and voice recognition areas. Additionally, areas such as converged network integration with voice, data and video also added to its revenue. 

The company was awarded the Silver Partner for Cisco Systems in the last fiscal. This certification was given in recognition for Netsol's commitment and expertise in offering networking solutions, based on Cisco products. 

In the current fiscal, the company is aiming at the services business segment. It plans to set up a remote network operations center in India. However, it will continue to focus on providing network and integration services, and in building and managing e-business solutions and infrastructure.
