Acer said that it has registered over 100 VAR partners under this program
already and aims at doubling this number by the end of Q3 2007.

The 'Star VARs' program intends to organize the efforts of Acer VAR partners
by effectively targeting its customers geographically. Through an account
mapping system, which enables each partner to grow in their respective
locations, Acer intends to help partners focus their efforts on their set of
customers.

The chosen partners will be entitled to a quarterly bonus on achieving the
agreed objectives. Acer will also support partners with training, marketing
support and lead generation activities to focus on the mapped accounts, an Acer
statement said.
