Allied Digital partners with E-COP

Allied Digital, a systems integrator and IT infrastructure management service provider, announced that it is forming a partnership with e-Cop, a security player in critical security technology and services. It will employ e-Cop's Cyclops Enterprise Security Management (CESM) technology in its Security Operations Centre (SOC) to offer robust round-the-clock Managed Security Services. The Mumbai-based SOC is expected to offer its own form of managed security services. These include continuous information security surveillance services, managed intrusion detection service, logs analysis service and managed Microsoft security service.

Expected to be operational in July, the SOC would be centered on recognized best practices for Information Security Management System — BS7799/ISO17799. The proposed SOC will co-exist next to the NOC and will provide a real-time and round-the-clock network security surveillance, detection and threat management services to customers running mission critical operations. 

“We were impressed by e-Cop's CESM technology, its operating track record in developing and running SOC, and its managed security services expertise. This convinced us that e-Cop is the right partner for us in this collaboration,” said Nitin Shah, MD of Allied Digital Services.

As part of the collaboration, e-Cop will provide technical support and training to Allied Digital's SOC personnel in using CESM to deliver its own form of 24x7x365 network security monitoring services to its customers in India. CESM is e-Cop's flagship technology in real-time enterprise security management, used both by governments, telecom operators and financial institutions across the region as well as managed services operators to protect their networks or clients from online threats, attacks and risks. Currently undergoing Common Criteria certification, CESM is already a proven and tested technology recognized by industry.

With the rise in info-security risks and need for information security compliance, Allied Digital believes there is a ready market for this form of robust managed security services. It is very well positioned to leverage its in-depth technical expertise to deliver robust managed security services to value-add to its service platform.

In addition, both companies will also establish a channel partnership in which Allied Digital will also take up distribution-ship of e-Cop's Cyclops range of products and solutions in India, under Allied-CNT, a group JV company, which focuses primarily on providing network security products and solutions.
