Aryan backs out from Intel program

New Delhi: In view of the change in its business model, Aryan Technologies has discontinued its sub-distribution business for Intel in the Delhi region. Intel had launched a sub-distribution program across eight cities in India last year in order to ensure greater availability of products for the reseller channel. The company had devised the scheme to achieve depth of distribution.

Commenting on the issue Nishant Bhushan, Proprietor, Aryan Technologies mentioned, “We were looking at re-framing our marketing strategies and found it difficult to work as per the terms and conditions of the program, hence we communicated to Intel that we would like to discontinue as sub-distributors for Delhi region. We are partners with Intel and will continue to distribute their products in other regions, however will no longer function as their authorized sub-distributor.”

Intel had rolled out the program in order to ensure that their re-distributor partners get recognition and at the same time are entitled to a number of benefits that the program was designed to extend. Intel had appointed a total of four partners as sub-distributors in Delhi including Nehru-Place based Elcom Trading, Computer Empire and Aryan Technologies.

On the other hand Sandeep Aurora, Director-Sales and Marketing Group, South Asia, Intel clarified, “We started off with four sub-distributors in Delhi but in the third quarter of the program are left with only three of them. Aryan Technologies was changing its business model and were hence finding it difficult to continue working as per the terms and conditions of the program. We are not sure whether we will be appointing yet another sub-distributor in place of Aryan since we are evaluating the program at the moment. The program is still in its initial stages and has so far shaped up nicely according to the feedback that we have been receiving from our partners.”

Intel had appointed Jain Peripherals in Gurgaon, Megabyte Systems in Bengaluru, Chennai-based Supreme Computers and Devraj Computers and a host of other sub-distributor partners for the above program.
