Asia Powercom enhances line interactive UPS range

Asia Powercom has launched KAL 1000 UPS with extended backup for upto eight
hours. Targeted at quality protection for small servers, workstations and PCs,
it supports upto four PCs.

The company has added this product to the current portfolio of KAL 300A and
KAL 500A.

According to the company, the KAL 1000 AP is specially designed for the
Indian Conditions and has unique features that other ordinary UPSs do not
provide. With two Indian output five pin sockets and a circuit breaker
protection, there is also a feature of OFF mode battery charging and an inbuilt
Telephone / Modem / LAN surge protector.

When utility input is normal, the UPS would provide surge protection to
equipment and energy to charge the internal battery. If the utility input is
abnormal, the UPS can supply AC power to the load immediately without resetting
the computer.

The KAL 1000 AP has microprocessor-based controls, to get assurance of
reliability. The USP comes bundled with UPSMON software. The UPS comes bundled
with UPSMON, that provides with the advanced monitoring and management functions
that are required in critical applications. It is efficient at dealing with
various complexity of loading so that it can ensure that the large-sized network
and critical conducting appliances are operating with constancy, security, and
stability.

There is an automatic frequency selection to match with utility power. The
advanced battery management feature enables one to prolong battery's life and
fully charge the battery. In the case of overload and short circuit there is
protection both in line and battery mode.
