Aventail appoints Select Technologies as distributor

Aventail Corporation is all set to expand its distribution in India through a new agreement with Select Technologies. It already has Almasa as its other distributor in the country. 

Select will provide sales and support to Aventail's growing clientele, both directly and through their channel network across India. Together, Aventail, Select, and system integrators will offer a three-level support system.

Said Ajay Kumar, Country Sales Manager, Aventail Corporation, “Select Technologies would be Aventail's national distributor in India and would help us recruit new channel partners for the distribution of our entire range of SSL VPN products. Select's strong channel network will help us increase our penetration and customer base across India.”

Partners with expertise in the security space, especially firewalls, would make ideal candidates for Aventail's solutions, said Ajay, while indicating that they are planning to appoint about 15 to 20 channel partners. These partners would include two to three national level resellers in all major cities across the country. 

Additionally, Aventail is looking to recruit about two to three regional level resellers in each market, who would help them go full steam as regards expanding their reach in the country. 

“The exercise of identifying partners has already begun, and once they are signed up, they would be provided with regular training programs on a quarterly basis which would keep them updated on the latest technologies and trends in the SSL VPN space”, said Ajay, adding that training would be an ongoing process for the channel. 

Incidentally Aventail has begun operations of its global support center in Bangalore, which will address all pre- and post-sales concerns of the channel as well as the customer 24/7.
