Bartronics gets DESFire certification

Bartronics India has been certified for DESFire standard by Arsenal Research Institute. With the new certification, Bartronics India will be eligible to bid for most tenders for mass transit application. In India too, a number of government agencies including the Indian railways and Delhi metro are seeking DESFire cards.
Mifare DESFire is a registered trademark of NXP Semiconductors and is a test of DESFire cards confirming to the standard ISO/IEC 14443. Tests include mainly the RF-interface of the cards and are vital for successful implementations.

Tendering parties rely on the fact that certified MIFARE card products from any supplier will work correctly with any certified terminal/reader from another supplier.
