CA Inc MD steps down

Mumbai: CA Inc announced that after serving as MD of CA India and SAARC for six of his 11 years with the company, business veteran Ninad Karpe is to take up the role of CEO of an Indian organization.

CA said it has already launched its recruiting efforts to explore India's huge talent pool of business leaders to succeed Karpe, applications from within the company have also been sought. It is expected that CA will name an interim Country Manager in the very near future.

Karpe has been associated with CA India since inception in 1997 and worked as an Executive Director to establish a substantial in-country presence for the Company, as well as to manage issues in the areas of marketing, PR, technical services, HR, operations and finance. More recently as the MD, his responsibilities included driving adoption of CA's technologies in the marketplace and strengthening strategic partnerships in India.

Before joining CA, Karpe was a consultant for some 13 years and specialized in assisting companies seeking to invest in India. This involved comprehensive studies relating to the nation's post-liberalization landscape, assessment of market conditions and creation of effective India-entry strategies. In addition to appearing at management colleges to lecture on business strategy, Karpe has written books on the subject, as well as on taxation and foreign investment in India, and continues to contribute to newspapers, magazines and journals as an expert.
