In a bid to counter the market pressure and explore new avenues, Ambala-based
Computer Touch has diversified into enterprise resource planning (ERP)
solutions. The company has begun to provide ERP solutions to the SMEs and
mid-segment organizations that plan to enter enterprise segment and planning to
go through consultants for a complete solution.
Talking about the target segment Rajesh Tayal, CEO, Computer Touch said,
"We are targeting the SME and mid-segment companies who plan to enter
enterprise segment and are planning to go through consultants to deliver the
full product. We have been providing ERP services to the customers for a quite a
long time and have decided to be proactive in this area since we are
well-equipped to provide a complete solution."
Informing further about the solution offered by the company, Tayal added that
they are currently targeting two sets of customers-the pharmaceutical industry
and SMEs. Under the pharmaceutical segment, there are two categories of
organizations-those dealing in formulation and those dealing in bulk drugs.
"We are targeting both these categories with our quality product," he
said.
Meanwhile the company is all set to deliver end-to-end real time solutions to
its customers on a customized basis. The services to be made available by
Computer Touch would integrate product lifecycle management (PLM), warehouse
management, supply chain management and customer relationship management (CRM)
as part of ERP on a single platform. Tayal further said, "By incorporating
the PLM, warehouse management, supply chain management and CRM solutions in a
single capsule, we want to ensure that our customers do not need to deploy these
applications separately. We would take care of an enterprise's complete ERP
deployment from procurement to the distribution of the various resources."
Elaborating on the affordability quotient of the service, Tayal informed,
"The charges of the solutions are kept very reasonable as they target small
and mid-level enterprise segments. Also, the charges would depend mainly on the
kind of capsule a customer opts for. As I informed earlier, the solutions would
be provided module-wise and on the customized basis so the cost would vary
accordingly."
In a bid to differentiate its service from competitors, the company has
designed its solution packages based on case studies focusing on
customer-specific deployment.
"To make our product stand out, we are emphasizing on case studies to
ensure that each and every deployment takes place on the basis of a thorough
research and study. We don't believe in providing just another ERP product but
in earning customer trust. We have designed a format that involves undertaking
pre-sales studies emphasizing on specific needs of the customer. We undertake
studies to understand what a customer is looking for from the ERP package and
then deliver."
Set-up 1992, Computer Touch deals in PCs, servers, laptops, networking
equipments, security appliances, software, consultancy, US FDI consultancy, ERP
case studies, and security solutions for brands like HP, Cisco, D-Link, Molex
and Hughes. It has branch offices in Chandigarh and Bangalore.
