Cranes Software bring out DS1006 processor board

Cranes Software International has launched the DS1006 processor board for
processing-intensive hardware-in-the-loop simulation. Based on a 64-bit server
processor, it has a 2.2 GHz AMD Opteron processor with 1MB L2 cache based on
AMD64.

The DS1006 also has 256MB local memory for executing real-time models, 128MB
global memory for exchanging data with the host PC and 2 MB on-board boot flash
memory plus an optional application flash memory on a CompactFlash card for
automatic, host-independent booting of real-time applications.
