Creative Infoware launches POS software

Cochin-based Creative Infoware Kerala has introduced a software package for point-of-sale (POS) as well as back office, titled 'InfoMART'. According to the company, InfoMART is an integrated package consisting of purchase, quotation, sales, transfer, financial accounting, banking and management information system (MIS). It also features full accounting package with cheque printing facility. 

InfoMART runs on Windows and Novell Netware with the lowest available system requirements. There is no need of color monitors and even hard disks in the terminals, thereby minimizing power consumption. It also has a multiple item-search facility and can also help in stock control and price comparisons. 

The software can be used in single-user mode and any number of counters can be added without any change to the system. InfoMart can be used in counters of bakeries, gift shops, cards shops and vegetable shops other than stationery and provisional supermarkets. 

It also has a MIS built in to prepare reports that can be used as decision support system. It can also help in customer relation by keeping track of customer tastes, quantity purchased during a period, frequency of visit etc. Personal information of customers like date of birth, name of spouse, etc. can also be stored for individual attention. InfoMART can also handle credit cards, debit cards of banks in addition to consumer cards.

It also has the facility of setting reminders and the facility of automatic recovery of damaged files is also provided.
