33. EARNING: From Enterprise

Ramco Systems clambered six rungs up to settle at the #33 rank in the Next 25 Group. But on the revenue front, it could not repeat that performance. It had
negative growth of two percent with a turnover of Rs 61 crore in 2001-02 against Rs 62 crore in the previous year.

Ramco extended the breadth of its flagship product, e.Applications, to offer SCM and CRM features besides core ERP features, which helped it bag a huge order from the Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. 

It also signed an exclusive agreement with the Boeing Corporation for jointly developing and marketing enterprise maintenance systems for the global aviation industry. In addition to this, UK-based Raddisson Group of Hotels commissioned it to develop and implement their CRM strategies and solutions.

The enterprise networking division became the first authorized education partner of Nortel Networks in India to deliver courses on the latter's data and voice products. 

In the alliances space, Ramco tied up with US-based webMethods for providing enterprise applications integration services.

Ramco also became a premier partner of Stonesoft Corporation for providing complete network security solutions. The highlight of the year came when the company found a place for the first time in the annual ´Gartner Magic Quadrant´, due to its focused approach within the ERP segment.
