The SMC EliteConnect WLAN secure server (SMC2504W) combines a Layer 3
intelligence, security, management, roaming and traffic optimization features in
one easy-to-use system. It can be deployed as a complete solution for a small
network or as a starter system for a large network, since it provides a scalable
solution for protecting, managing and enhancing wireless networks.

The SMC2504W server centrally manages authentication and user rights for all
wireless users, presents logon screens and enforces access and usage policies.
For added security, its has a built-in VPN support (PPTP/L2TP/IPSec) to provide
secure wireless communications to and from wireless clients. It allows users to
enjoy greater mobility of roaming across different subnets and persistent TCP
raoming, eliminating the need for re-authentication and active sessions are
maintained during roaming.

It is compatible with 802.11 wireless, Bluetooth or wired technologies
including Standard Ethernet and Fast Ethernet.
