Embee Software : Keeping Pace

Embee Software remained steady with its performance throughout the year,
although it could not repeat the glowing success it had in FY' 2007-08.
Achieving a marginal growth of four percent this year, the company maintained
its position of having a positive balance sheet in spite of the onset of the
slowdown. Not only did the company streamline its internal work processes, Embee
also focused more on consolidating its business with existing product lines
rather that entering into any major collaborations.

SAP-related solutions and implementation remains its prime work area since
its inception. However, this FY, the company is concentrating more on networking
solutions, with IT consulting featuring as its second priority.

With business operations in various solution-related areas, the company has a
large offering for its clients, enabling it to maintain its grip as an SI. Also,
annuity services received a major fillip when the company was awarded the FMS
contract by an emerging corporate having a pan India presence in the
manufacturing vertical. Registering consistency throughout the year, Embee had a
considerable turnout of Rs 37 crore in the JAS quarter and Rs 42 crore in the
JFM quarter, showing an early sign of the financial recovery setting in.

Last year, SAP Center of Excellence was set up by Embee in a premium IT park
in Salt Lake, Kolkata which accounts for 58 percent of its domestic business.
