Enterasys launches enterprise security solution

Enterasys Networks has introduced 'Secure Networks', a solution targeted at the enterprise segment. According to the company, the solution integrates security and networking technologies to improve the effectiveness and scalability of IT security. 

The company claims that this product allows security to be embedded throughout the network fabric instead of 'bolting on' single-function security appliances. Secure Networks enables customers to protect their critical information assets while increasing network efficiency and maintaining a lower total cost of ownership. The solution also provides centralized policy management that allows customers to apply for security policies based on users, applications or organizational priorities. 

The other Enterasys products that incorporate Secure Networks are Matrix E1 switches, the XSR-3000/4000 series security routers, RoamAbout R2 wireless LAN (802.11a,b,g) access point, radio cards, the Matrix N7 and Matrix N3 switches.
