Fujifilm Introduces Digital Mobile Printer

Jindal Photo, the marketer of Fujifilm has launched a digital mobile printer
- MP-100 to enable users of camera phones to print and share their pictures.
Using infrared transmission, it enables users to get real photos from their
camera phones. The infrared interface can out camera-phone images without any
cable connection or media link up.

The printer is 29.5 mm thick and weighs 205g (batteries and photo pack not
included). It fits easily in a pouch or a handbag. Each image can be printed out
in 21 seconds after image data transmission is completed. The picture begins to
appear about 10 seconds after print processing at 25 degrees centigrade.
Approximately 130 prints can be printed with 2 CR2 lithium batteries and
charging is not required.

The device employs a newly developed exposure system that enables exposure
and printing to be done simultaneously with a fixed LCD shutter. This creates a
sharper image. The mobile printers would be priced at Rs 9,600.
