Guardian Digital to secure ISRO space program

Guardian Digital Inc, an open source security provider, has announced a partnership with the Government of India to implement security and productivity applications at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) headquarters. 

ISRO's enhanced solution portfolio includes EnGarde secure Linux, Internet acceleration and management server, secure mail suite, EnGarde workGroup suite and Internet defense and detection system. 

Encompassing a vast network of 30 independent research centers, ISRO recognized the inherent advantages of the company's open source platform, specifically in the areas of security, customization and flexibility. 

Utilizing EnGarde Secure Linux as the foundation, ISRO's security network provides virus and spam protection, customized security features and the ability to integrate legacy systems into a more manageable environment. With Guardian Digital's WebTool, ISRO network administrators can easily manage all security updates, server configurations, corporate user policies and network reporting capabilities through a simplified web-based interface, relieving strained IT resources while simultaneously increasing overall department productivity.
