HP introduces notebook with LightScribe technology

HP has launched a series of consumer notebooks - Compaq Presario V2100
Notebook series featuring the LightScribe technology. Apart from LightScribe,
these notebooks also offer BrightView technology, which improves contrast of the
notebook display screen for clarity. The notebooks feature 1.7 GHz. Celeron
process with 256MB RAM and 6-in-1 memory card reader which enables speedy
transfer of files and information. The Compaq Presario V2148 notebook with
LightScribe technology is priced at Rs 69,990.

LightScribe Direct Disc Labeling is a new technology, invented by HP that
enables consumers to burn labels directly on their discs using the drive's
existing laser. The technology can be applied to both CDs and DVDs. Currently,
in the Indian market, LightScribe CDs are available at a MRP of Rs 35 and the
DVDs are yet to come.
