IBM 'My Server' for SMB

IBM India has unveiled a whole new set of
offerings specifically designed for the Indian SMB customer. The offerings,
christened as 'My Server' will focus on increasing product relevance,
expanding customer base and enhancing channel engagement on IBM business.

“The SMB customers place a big importance on
simplifying existing customer IT infrastructure, looking at affordable 'Pay as
you Grow' solutions and improving overall productivity through cutting edge
technology partnerships and solutions. 'My Server' suite of offerings help
satisfy these precise needs of small and medium businesses whilst fulfilling
their aspiration to own the “World Class” IBM server products,” said Anil
Sethi, GM- xSeries Division, IBM India Systems and Technology Group.

There are three different types of offerings
under 'My server'. They include 'My First Server', 'My Solution
Server' and 'My Enterprise Server'. 'My First Server' is an
entry-level xSeries 100 server, which is priced at Rs 30,000.

'My Solution Server' includes Hot Swap hard
drives and redundant server power supply options. The x100 is available upwards
of Rs 29,900, while the Microsoft SBS pre-loaded on the x206m will cost above Rs
65,000. The x226 with the Thinkpad offer is available to order from Rs 1,29,000
onwards.
