Intel involves channel for high-performance computing

Intel wants to take high-performance computing (HPC) mainstream and will involve the channel in this initiative. HPC is the coming together of the computing and communication infrastructure in enterprises.

Intel will soon appoint some premium channel partners and educate them on about this technology. The channel will act as the medium through which HPC will be taken to B and C-class cities of the country. However, details of the channel program are yet to be finalized.

Only by a handful of customers use HPC because it is viewed as a high-investment decision. Vijay Kesha, Intel Industry Solutions Manager for Asia Pacific, explains that this is a myth. As cost of computing power decreases, HPC has become affordable for a large section of
corporates.
