Intel vendors extend Innovation Alliance Program

Industry majors will work with Intel to create new products for enterprise and wireless communication products along with desktops and mobile computers

To further Intel Corporation’s vision around the convergence of communications and computing, the IT industry extended the Innovation Alliance (IA) program. This program, which started with desktop and mobile computer manufacturers in 2002, has extended its scope to enterprise and wireless communication products. Joining the effort to develop next-generation products in these new areas are ASUSTeK, Compal, Gigabyte, HTC, MicroStar, Mitac, SuperMicro, Quanta, and
Wistron.

Technological innovation helps discover and create new market opportunities,” says John Antone, VP, Sales and Marketing, and GM of Intel’s APac operations. Through the IA, Intel provides members with platform vision guides containing platform definitions, usage models, market trends and customized technical support for the design and manufacturing of new converged products.
