Iris Computers is continuously heading towards completing its product
portfolio with an entire range of IT and telecom products. The company has
forged alliance with TVS ICS to include networking products in its catalogue
New Delhi-based Iris Computers registered a growth rate of 28 percent up from
previous year's 11 percent mark. Iris achieved revenue of Rs 393.11 crore. The
company claims to have its support infrastructure open 24x7 and 365 days a year
for its channel associates, that sets Iris apart from competition. The
distribution house claims to be closing deals within minimalist time for which
competitors take days all together, that makes partners comfortable working with
Iris.

Leveraging the benefit of being a north India-based company, Iris has grown
its business manifolds in north and western parts of the country, which are
contributing 49 percent and 26 percent respectively towards Iris's revenue.
While south and eastern regions revenue of Iris are pegged at 18 percent and six
percent respectively. Every year Iris has set a target for itself of opening
branch office in at least five new locations, this time as well the company is
expected to institute branches at five places by the end of this financial year.
Last year Iris moved into B and C class cities like Jammu, Guwahati, Coimbatore,
Bhubaneswar and Ludhiana. While non-metro cities are generating only 20 percent
of the business the distribution house is quite optimistic in developing
upcountry locales in the coming months.
Iris marked its entry into networking products domain by partnering with TVS
ICS as its regional distributor for north and east India. Last financial year
Kolkata-based indigenous PC manufacturing company Xenitis has also roped in Iris
as its national distributor. In order to ramify Xenitis business in the country
the distributor appointed 100 dealer channels across the country.
Currently, Lenovo fetches maximum revenue for Iris totaling Rs 104 crore
followed by IBM with Rs 84 crore and HP with Rs 104.22 crore. This year Iris is
expected to include power conditioning and security products to its portfolio.
The company is also evaluating various peripheral brands for inclusion to its
catalogue.
