IT fair in Doon

IT Chetna 2007 an IT fair was organized by the Uttaranchal IT Traders
Association (UITTA) between May 24th and 27th in Dehradun. The four-day event
was marked by increased customer enquiries about upcoming technologies like
Vista, Wi-fi and tablet PCs.

The center of attraction of the fair was Microsoft's XBox spot where youth
and children saw live demonstrations, played the game and registered their
orders to buy the product. While demonstrating the new game to the visitors,
representatives from Microsoft informed customers about genuine and pirated
software and advised them to buy original software only.

"Events like these play an active role in creating awareness among the
end users about the latest products and technologies. Customers get a chance to
compare the prices and features of various products and buy according to their
requirements", said Surjeet Singh, President, UITTA. "We would work to
organize such fairs more regularly, " he added.

Other brands on display in the fair were Canon, Microsoft, D-Link, HP, Intel,
Xerox, Intex, Sahara and Microtek.
