Rashi Peripherals

Systems (HP, Asus) and peripherals (HP, Asus,Logitech, APC, Sandisk, Sony) continued to remain Rashi's mainstay-together they accounted for 93% of the company's revenues in FY10. New principles like Microsoft, A-DATA and Fujitsu too contributed to the topline-particularly the Microsoft business, especially after Ingram and Redington refrained from doing Microsoft business over the software double taxation confusion. Rashi's appointment by Targus as its ND is expected to rake in the moolah from the coming year. Though the company has more than 9000 partners across 425 towns and
53 branches (mostly in B&C class cities), South still remained the mainstay accounting for 31% of its revenues.

This year Rashi is concentrating on adding more vendors and opening new branches to maintain its growth line. Registering a decent growth of almost 17 percent on YoY basis and that too on account of growth in existing brand portfolio and also the addition of one or two brands, Rashi has witnessed a very consistent and solid growth.

In the last fiscal, the company had added Baroda and Varanasi to its list and overall now it has 54 branch offices and 64 service locations all across India. Though the company has tied up with ECS, Adata, Fujitsu, Microsoft and Targus in the last fiscal year, it is keen on regularly adding manpower in all the fields namely sales, marketing, service and account/finance. Though this is a continuous process, currently the company is billing to almost 7,700 partners and in the coming year it plans to increase the number of partners by 10 percent. The go-to-market strategy includes deeper penetration in the non-metros while maintaining metro market share. The company is also trying to make a mark into the product categories which are not a part of its current portfolio.
