Logitech expands QuickCam series

Logitech has announced the launch of the latest additions to its QuickCam
series of webcams-QuickCam Connect webcam and QuickCam Communicate Deluxe
webcam. While the QuickCam Connect provides high-quality video and echo-free,
lifelike conversations, QuickCam Communicate Deluxe provides sharp images in any
light.

“Logitech evolved the webcam design so that it better complements the
aesthetics of the living room, the home office or any of the varied places
people are using PCs at home. This is especially important as video calling
continues to become more prevalent in everyday computing. We believe that these
new webcams will make the video calling experience more enjoyable and
convenient. Logitech QuickCam Connect has our webcam eyeball design, which is a
favorite among our consumers,” said Subrotah Biswas, Country Manager-India
and SAARC, Logitech.

QuickCam Connect features a smaller eyeball design, which is 45mm wide (33
percent smaller than previous models).

QuickCam Connect also has a built-in microphone with patented RightSound
Technology that lets users enjoy crystal clear conversations with or without
headsets. A true 640x480 sensor lets them capture crisp, sharp videos and
1.3mn-pixel still images. The QuickCam Connect is compatible with all major
online messaging applications such as Microsoft Windows Live Messenger, Skype,
Yahoo Messenger etc.

QuickCam Connect is priced at Rs 1,095 and QuickCam Communicate Deluxe is
priced at Rs 5,895. Both come with a warranty of two years.
