Some features of the software include secure, fast and reliable SMTP service, accurate and reliable anti-virus engine. It also has an accurate and industry standard spam and content filter. It uses RBL or DUL for spam prevention. It can be easily installed using three RPMs and has easy and convenient browser-based configuration. The Mailscan is backed by GNU/Linux, anti-virus and anti-spam experts.

With increased penetration of GNU/Linux as an alternate operating system for server and desktops, attacks on GNU/Linux based machines have increased. The only solution is to provide content security i.e an on demand anti-virus software solution that can be launched as and when required.

With this, MicroWorld's products are compatible with Novell Enterprise Linux. The product was awarded Novell Ready status for Suse Linux desktop, Suse Linux Enterprise Server 8, Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9, Suse Linux Standard Server.
