Microsoft launches ISV program for Windows Server 2003Â

Microsoft India has announced 'Supported for Windows Server 2003' program aimed at helping ISV partners with application readiness for Windows Server 2003. 

Under the program, it would provide the ISVs with testing tools, access to the .NET lab for testing the applications, and support of Microsoft consulting services through the application migration process. 

These applications would be compatible with Windows Server 2003 in terms of reliability, availability, and supportability.

Currently more than 25 ISVs operating in the finance, manufacturing and government verticals have adopted the program in India and Microsoft is looking at getting over 100 participants by July. 

ISVs would carry out the testing internally. Microsoft would be working closely with the ISVs to ensure that the applications are compatible with Windows Server 2003 and the ISVs are adhering to the required specifications. 

Additionally, all the ISVs participating in the 'Supported for Windows Server 2003' program will get listed in the Windows Server Catalog, the single location for IT professionals and partners to find information about applications that run on Windows Server 2003

In addition, over the next two weeks the Developer Evangelism group at Microsoft India, in association with the Performance Analysis and Research Center, Redmond would deliver Windows Server 2003 compatibility workshops in six cities.

Commenting on the availability of the 'Supported for Windows Server 2003' program, Sanjiv Mathur, Group Marketing Manager, Microsoft India, "The objective of this program is to help our ISV partners leverage the opportunity offered by the Windows Server 2003 launch. By ensuring existing applications readiness by the time of launch, our ISV partners in India can offer cutting edge technology solutions to their customers - at the same time as their counterparts the world over."
