Microtek doubles its manufacturing capacity

Microtek India has expanded its manufacturing capacities in Parwanoo for monitors and power conditioning products. This expanded capacity will now produce inverters, stabilizers and UPS.

Microtek India Director Anil Gupta said that this expansion activity comes in the wake of good market response for its products and trying to bring in the cost advantage. "We have doubled our present production facility as our marketshare has seen some surge and we want to give our customers the best possible options," he added. Anil said that the company would start manufacturing Okaya batteries too in India. 

When asked about Philips acquiring Microtek manufacturing unit, Gupta strongly refuted it and said, "We have not entered into any such agreement and we do not plan do so in the near future. In fact, there is not even any question about taking any job work or contract manufacturing. These units will be solely used by Microtek India."
