Molex debuts PowerCat 6 solution

Molex Premise Networks introduced PowerCat 6, its new Cat 6 solution.
Providing future proofing against the most demanding of bandwidth applications,
PowerCat 6 offers more than twice the bandwidth of a Category 5e solution and is
backed by independent third-party verification and a 25-year product, system,
performance and application assurance warranty.

PowerCat 6 is an end-to-end solution comprised of Category 6 patch panels,
patch cords and the DataGate Plus jack. This RJ-45 jack is designed with an ‘automatic
shutter’ that not only protects the jack from dust and contaminants, but also
tells you if a patch cord isn’t fully plugged in.

With spring-loaded pressure, an improperly placed patch cord pops out,
virtually eliminating faulty connections from the patch panel to the desktop.
The new Datagate Plus jack offers significantly enhanced Category 6 performance,
along with modified termination block design to assist cable retention.
