Believing
the adage, 'By giving best you will get the best' New Delhi-based PC
Solutions Pvt Ltd (PSPL) has retained a leadership position in the solutions
space. While being satisfied with the kind of image that the company has managed
to build in the market, Devendra Taneja is much content looking at the success
that the company has achieved in sustaining good relations with the customers.
However, PSPL has a reputation of delivering incessant service to the
organizations, which have 24 hours working requirements. It claims to be blessed
with a positive image that it achieved by delivering great services to its
customers. Large enterprises are its major buyer base and require a 24x7 service
commitment. Satisfaction comes only when the customer retention rate is even
higher than what the company expected.
PC Solutions showed good results last year due to implementation of some big
projects successfully. One of them was for a leading pharmaceutical company,
which basically was migration with enterprise security deployment. The entire
migration from Microsoft 2002 to Microsoft 2003 was implemented by PSPL and the
project was valued at Rs 3.5 crore. The very unique thing about this
project implementation is that the entire implementation was done on PKI
infrastructure.
PSPL has also done a security suite deployment project with a leading
multinational Bank. This was first ever deployment of a security solution for
the company in Asia Pacific region and involved the deployment of Citrix Access
Suite. Executed in Gurgaon, the size of the project was $35,000.

Of its total personnel strength of 525 people, the company has nearly 500
employees on its support staff, spread in all metros and other cities like
Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore. 75% of total support employees are
certified.
PSPL has competencies in solutions like security, infrastructure management,
optimization of current infrastructure, mail messaging, on NT and Linux and
disaster recovery. However, in 2004, the additions made on this front were
disaster recovery management solution and high-end security solutions.
PSPL
has a clear strategy to upscale its workforce and to motivate them for taking up
training programs on regular basis. Expenditure on training and
certification of staffers was Rs 12 lakh in last three months. In addition
to this, the company has strategic alliance with Doors International for all the
training and certification work for employees. A minimum of six days training is
mandatory for every employee."
The names of vendors with whom PSPL is having partnership relations includes,
Microsoft, Veritas, Citrix, EMC, Nortel, Nitix (for Linux servers end), HP, IBM,
Novell, Sun, Packatere, APC. However, last year's additions were, EMC, Veritas
and lastly Nortel for data and voice range of products.
PSPL will continue to target large corporates, so that it bags big accounts.
It is also planning to take its business global.
