MS appoints Sircar as GM

Microsoft Corporation has named Amit Sircar as the general manager of
Microsoft Global Services - India (MGSI). Sircar joins Microsoft from Tavant
Technologies Inc., where he was vice president (Global Marketing).

"MGSI has in a short span of about two years, established itself as a
very successful model for global delivery, and I hope to build on it and create
sustainable competitive advantage and capabilities," said Sircar.

"MGSI is key to Microsoft's global growth plans in the services business
and we are confident Amit is the right person to take the charter even
further," said Ravi Venkatesan, chairman, Microsoft India.

Sircar has over 18 years of experience in managing global delivery
businesses, as well as sales, marketing and business development experience.
Before Tavant, he was with HP's Global Delivery Application Services division in
India. He also served as the group general manager at Wipro Infotech and VP for
IBM (India)'s Industrial Sector.

Sircar will be based at MGSI's Hyderabad operations.
