Post its acquisition by IBM last November; Bangalore-based Network Solutions
has recorded a near 25 percent increase in its topline over the previous year.
While the IBM factor has definitely contributed to the increase in Netsol's
growth, another important criteria that have added to the growth is that Netsol
continues to be a customer-focused company. Customer satisfaction remains on top
of all of the company's initiatives.

The single point focus during the entire acquisition exercise was to retain
existing customers. Having attained that, Netsol is now looking to grow into new
business and customer verticals. As one among the few true-blooded partners 100
percent of whose business comes from solutions providing, services continued to
remain as the biggest contributory factor for the overall turnover of the Netsol's
revenues last fiscal. The IBM acquisition apart, it was in the last fiscal that
Netsol won the award as Cisco Support Partner, along with Radware's award for
fastest growing partner. In addition to these, customer awards and rewards of
recognition that came the company's way were many.

While focusing on services, Netsol continued to build on and work with a
number of its customer projects. The largest of the projects was the wide area
network deployment that was undertaken for the Oriental Bank of Commerce. Here
the networking facilities were provided to the bank's remote offices.

Currently working with about 1400 employees, Netsol believes that as business
grows, the headcount would increase. As far as the year ahead goes the focus for
Netsol would continue to be the Indian market, and the company would not
immediately look at global growth. The coming fiscal would see an increased
focus on the service business for Netsol, which would want to grow in that
space. Having invested in IPR and tools required for the same, Netsol is looking
at designing strategies.

Using the strengths of both IBM and Netsol, the company would be looking to
grow faster than the other contemporaries and the next six to eight months would
be very important for them. Continuing to build on customer relationship, Netsol
would want to have the best of both worlds-business and people-with them.
