Numeric's new UPS to support two PCs

Numeric has added the Digital 800 Plus UPS to to its Digital LI series. This
new product is powered to support two PCs or a high-end multimedia PC, with
17" monitor. Using microcontroller-based design, the Digital 800 is priced
at Rs 3,800 with a two-year warranty.

The UPS features Super-boost AVR, which allows it to work in the mains mode,
even under very low and high voltage conditions, thereby extending the battery
life. It has a full-time EMI/RFI Suppression that eliminates high frequency
electrical noise that are harmful to the computer and are the main cause for
data corruption.

The Ethernet/telephone/modem line surge protection feature protects the
computer against lightning strikes and transient surges when connected to the
Internet via modem. The UPS' cold start capability helps it boot and perform
jobs like file saving and document printing, even when AC mains power supply is
unavailable. It is also safeguarded against damage due to overloading or
short-circuiting.
