Omnitech targets focused acquisition plan

Omnitech InfoSolutions, a provider of technology services and
technology-enabled services, has announced that it plans to invest a sum of Rs
19.50 crores over a period of 18 months to leverage its expertise in domain
knowledge, technology and geographical reach through acquisitions and strategic
investments.

Omnitech proposes to target companies in India or abroad which would provide
a value addition to its existing products and services and offshore
opportunities by virtue of target companies' existing capabilities or client
base.

As part of its acquisition plan, Omnitech acquired business assets of
EdVenture Systems Inc, a partnership firm, for the consideration of Rs 45 lakh
in August 2006. EdVenture offers performance management services, which includes
software testing, performance management and quality assurance, which are
complementary to the services offered by Omnitech. The resulting synergies will
help Omnitech effectively penetrate global markets.

availability services, business continuity services, systems integration
solutions and framework solutions and products.
