Aiming towards showing agility when it comes to changing business dynamics,
PC Solutions formed two business units focusing on the burgeoning government and
SMB segments. As the company moves towards further maturity, more activity is
likely to be seen within these segments
Showing a steady growth, New Delhi-based PC Solutions (PSPL) saw its revenues
go up by more than 22 percent to touch Rs 126 crore for the year 2005-06. The
company's previous year's revenue was Rs 103 crore. The company has given
special focus on the SMB segment and has formed a new business unit to work in
this area keeping in mind its increasing number of customers in and around the
Delhi region.
As far as break up of revenue from services is concerned, this year the
company has generated around Rs 11 crore by taking up facilities management
work, however managed services work is also catching up fast as it has
contributed Rs 8 crore.
Keeping its focus towards the services segment, this year the company has
picked up a big order for approximately Rs 10 crore to implement ERP and data

PSPL showed good results last year due to implementation of some big projects
successfully. One of them was for a major refinery. Here the company did a
turnkey security and storage deployment project worth Rs 1.5 crore. It also
undertook migration services of domain and mail messaging for a leading Japanese
electronic company across 15 locations in India.
PC Solutions started as a focused organization to provide third party
maintenance, however with time the company has evolved and is now offering an
array of services to its set of 150 clients, spread all across the country with
whom the company has regular engagements.
The solution provider has competencies in solutions like security,
infrastructure management, optimization of current infrastructure, mail
messaging, on NT and Linux and disaster recovery. Though PC Solutions has been
able to grow itself quite sizably in the services segment finding the right kind
of people has been a challenge for the company. In keeping with its growth
strategy to expand in segments like SMB or government, in the coming year the
company plans to hire close to 225 people to take the current employee figure of
523 to 744 employees.
As the company focuses a lot of its effort towards satisfying its customers,
this expansion in manpower would include 600 people in technical support and
customer care from a present figure of 435. The company has support locations at
Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Chennai.
While the company has generated about 30 percent of its revenue from ITeS, IT
and Telecom-segments like BFSI and government are fast catching at 15 percent
and 12 percent respectively. Moving forward, the company is planning to increase
its revenue generation from government and public sector units.
