With a marginal increase in consolidated growth in the last FY, Embee continues to dominate the eastern scenario besides becoming prominent in the West this FY, especially after its branch expansion in Mumbai. Having a eight percent growth, Embee climbed up the ladder marginally in terms of overall revenue.

Although growth in its topline remained a priority for the company, Embee is now more focused on its bottomline although the success rate in this respect can be termed as nominal. In the last FY, the company, not only did a further streamlining of its internal work processes, it also focused more towards consolidating its business with existing product lines rather that entering into any major collaborations. For two consecutive FYs, Embee remained aloof of any major tie-ups.

SAP-related solutions and implementation have remained its prime work area since its inception. However, this FY, the company is more concentrating on networking solutions with IT consulting featuring as its second priority.

With a pack of business operations in various solution related areas, ranging from IT-enabled products and solutions from HP and IBM, volume licensing from Microsoft, desktop management solution from Intuit (Track-It!), network integration services and products, facility management services, IT infrastructure management services to LAN, WAN and wireless network design and implementation, the company has a large offering for its clients, enabling itself to maintain a grip as an SI. Also, annuity services received a major fill-up with the award of the FMS contract by an emerging corporate having a pan Indian presence in the manufacturing vertical. However, IT/ITeS and telecom verticals remain the top solutions priority with a share of 16 percent in its revenue followed by the BFSI sector contributing to about 10 percent of the total revenue.

Registering consistency throughout the year, Embee had a considerable turnout of Rs 41 crore in the JFM quarter and Rs 21 crore in the OND quarter showing a healthy topline achievement.

The company is present in seven major locations in India including Kolkata, Mumbai, Jamshedpur, Pune, Bhubaneswar and New Delhi.

Last year, a SAP Centre of Excellence was set up by Embee in a premium IT Park in Salt Lake enabling the company to focus mostly in the East region which accounts for 66 percent of its domestic business. The company also features as a good employer, as with a target of expanding after the slowdown blues,Embee already has 200 internal and 500 outsourced staff across locations.
