Pushpam launches mobile printer

Pushpam Infotech Corporation, the import and distribution division of the Pune-based Pushpam Group, has launched India's first mobile printer called 'Pocket Printer A6'. Shreekant Chopda, Group Director, Pushpam says, "This is the first time that a mobile printer has been introduced in the Indian market at such a low cost." 

The printer, which works on thermal technology, is compatible with all kinds of operating systems and can be connected to a laptop or PDA. A high resolution of 4000 dpi ensures a continuous tone print out. It is powered by a battery and does not require any replacement of cartridges or ribbons. The printer is priced at Rs 5,000 and weighs 250 grams.

Pushpam has appointed Compuage Infocom as national distributor for its entire range of products. The printer is said to be ideal for insurance proposals, doctor's prescriptions, counter bills, door salesman bills, emails, contact lists, spreadsheets, expense reports, on-site quotes, memos, reports, calendars and proposals.

The company is working as a sole distributor for the Billionton Inc. as well as Rayon Technology Ltd, both from Taiwan. The product range handled by Pushpam includes notebook computers, PCMCIA solutions, USB solutions, multiport serial cards, external storage devices, information kiosks, touch screens and compact flash products.
