Speaking about the re-launch, Quantum's APAC Product Marketing Manager, Mark Sparkes said, "We are on a focused drive to recruit more resellers through the Web to distribute our high-end products." The program, which has registered 40 resellers till now, aims to increase the number to 100 resellers by the end of this year.

Quantum Corp, which has an Indian subsidiary based out of Bangalore, has tied up with Ingram Micro to distribute its products. While Ingram Micro would be pushing the distribution of its low-end product, Web-based resellers would be focused on selling products to large enterprises. In addition, Quantum has also tied up with two system integrators -- Wipro and Apara -- to distribute its storage products.

The current focus of the company is on its new range of products called Value Loader, which is a range of automated back-up storage products, that enables enterprises to automate the storage process. Priced at below Rs 4 lakh, the product is targeted at SMEs, which typically do not have very high data size. With data transfer rates of 6MB per sec, Quantum has announced a tap technology road map till 2006, which would enable SMEs to plan their storage needs.
