“We had designed this software four years back for PDM Public School in
Ballabgarh, Faridabad and since the software has run successfully and has
executed excellent result, we are planning to market it in general for all the
schools throughout the country,” exclaimed R P Singh, Director, New Delhi Data
Point.

The developers of SchoolMate is confident that this software is ideal for
school communities because it provides complete safety as school managers and
administrators along with teachers and parents can have full control over the
content developed in the solution and provide all kind of information that
parents want to know about their children.

“Children who want to use this software must have a username and password
that is provided through an authentic community be it a school or any
institution, with which the child is associated,” said Singh.

Commenting on the fact that all children and parents might not have access to
Internet, Singh highlighted that, “when we developed this software for a place
like Ballabgarh, problem of Internet availability was very high and hence we
also opened two cyber cafes in that region and the result was phenomenal. Over
the years when technology has grown so much I am confident that parents will not
face such problem now.”

According to Singh, price of SchoolMate software has been kept minimal so
that it does not cost anything extra on children or parents. He also said that
the software could be developed in Hindi also if any school comes up with such
demand.

New Delhi Data Point is in the process to market this product throughout the
country with the support of channel partners in various regions.
