Bengaluru-based company, Valuepoint took a beating due to recession where in the company's top line revenue reduced. The company managed to keep
its bottom line and profits to a certain extent.

Valuepoint had registered a total of 19.20 crore in 2007?08. The next year due to the advent of meltdown, the company's revenue slipped to 17.10 and further slipping into 16.50 crore. Inspite of the revenues dipping Valuepoint did not either stop hiring or bidding for projects. It bagged one of the biggest projects of design and deployment of online storage consolidation for a leading publishing house in South India. Valuepoint also bagged another prestegious managed services project from government. Under this contract, the company would be managing their 950 offices across the state providing manpower, AMC, helpdesk and in critical locations 24x7 support.

Another major achievement is on AMS (Automated Managed Services) for providing remote support for netbook laptop users spread across the country for a leading pharmaceutical company. The main revenue region for Valuepoint is South, which is about 72 percent. Surprisingly, international business constitutes 12 percent of the revenue. North, West and East are at 9 percent, 6 percent and 1 percent respectively.

Valuepoint has a sizeable revenue stream from the SMB sector, 34 percent of the total revenue is from the same. Last few years, the company is trying to make its foot hold strong in the government sector, 14 percent of the revenue is from the same and following on close heels is the IT /ITeS sector which is 13 percent. BFSI, SOHO and miscellaneous form 8, 5 and 4 percent respectively.

The company has eight branches and recently opened a branch office in Gurgaon. Because of spreading its horizons,Valuepoint is hopeful to scale to new heights in the current and coming financial year.
