Witnessing a scorching growth in its business strategies, Maxtone Electronics' turnover in the fiscal year 2009-10, has increased to Rs 300 crore from Rs 265 crore the previous fiscal year. Key principals like Intel, Microsoft, Sony, HP and its own motherboard business accounted for 80 percent of Maxtone's revenue. Drawing a large chunk of revenue from Intel business, which includes CPUs and motherboards, Maxtone held the coveted position of one of the biggest GIDs (Genuine Intel Dealers) in the channel business.

Out of the total revenue of Rs 300 crore, JAS quarter contributed the most with Rs 100 crore. More than half of the revenue for Maxtone came from the western region, which contributed around 65 percent, while East contributed 12 percent. In the region-wise chart South contributed 18 percent. Surprisingly, the distributor saw better contribution from East as compared to the North that contributed just five percent. The company's major vendors include - Intel, Microsoft, HP, Sony, NEC, Lenovo, ECS, TATA and Virgin Mobiles. In the fiscal year 2009-10, the company has enhanced its focus on the reseller and dealer community, which contributed upto 47 percent of Maxtone's sales. Also, its retail channel increased its revenues by 10 percent, while the SOHO segment contributed only six percent to the overall revenue. The SME/SMB vertical have put in five percent to the revenue.

Maxtone has been awarded the best ICS and largest volume partner by Intel and also the best Microsoft Partner - India. During the year 2009-10, the company has started its distribution for NEC TFT's and also entered into Microsoft full-pack OS business. Although the company currently has over 800 active channel partners, it plans to increase the number.

Maxtone also entered into an agreement for distribution of Nokia Tej, an order and supply chain management solution for companies working in a communication intensive and networked business environment.
