Suntronic to launch PC

Kolkata-based Suntronic Systems is all set to diversify its business. It is
now the company's turn to join the retail bandwagon and the company seems to
have some major expansion plan for the current fiscal. Suntronics is set to
launch a 500 sq ft showroom in GC Avenue by mid August. And coinciding with the
opening of the store is the launch of its new Intel-based PC range which will be
known as SBox.

Speaking on the developments, Pradeep Biyani, Director, Suntronic Systems
said, “We are further strengthening our long term association with Intel through
this retail venture. The entire branding will be taken care of by Intel and the
showroom will showcase Intel products.”

The showroom is being divided into two parts. One portion will have a
technical demonstration counter while the other will have products on display.
“We will display all Intel products and our server range. We are also setting up
a technical team to demonstrate technical specifications to customers,” said
Biyani.

The SBox, on the other hand, is a new offering from Suntronic and will cater
to those dealers and consumers who require fast and quality support. “The USP of
SBox will be its four hour carry-in table replacement warranty for spares. This
warranty is valid for one year, apart from the normal three year warranty on the
product,” informed Biyani.

sbox will be targeted primarily at the small and local dealers and
assemblers. According to Biyani, this product will help the company reach out to
this segment of smaller dealers and assemblers, and multiply its sales and
partner base.

SBox will be launched officially with the showroom.

The company is also opening its branch office in Ranchi next month. “We had
our indirect presence in Ranchi. We are now planning to increase our marketshare
and this new branch will help us expand our operations in the area.”
