Kolkata-based Supertron added yet another milestone to its home brand
Supercomp. In an effort to enhance its product offerings the company recently
launched a new range of Supercomp high-end UPS systems. Initially Supercomp came
out with the lower versions of its UPS.
According to Supertron, the 600VA range of Supercomp UPS received substantial
acceptance in the Indian market, especially in the upcountry locations. Inspired
by the success, the company decided to enhance it's offering and has launched
both 800VA and 1KVA in its UPS category. According to VK Bhandari, MD, Supertron
Electronics, "With this new addition we have completed our product offering
in the entry level category. With these new products we will be able to tap the
booming SOHO to mid level SME/SMB users as well as the corporate segment".
Bhandari further confirmed that Supertron is focusing more on the power vertical
and it will be adding more products to address this vertical in future. "We
are at present exploring the market and its possibilities as far as the high-end
UPS line is concerned. If things go in the right direction, we might also
introduce online range of UPS in future," he informed.
Speaking on the occasion Deepak Bhandari, Director, Supertron Electronics and
Product Head - Supercomp, added, "Now that we have all the three models
which are widely desired by the users in the off line category it will help
Supercomp to further increase its market share in the UPS market
nationally."
The Supercomp 800VA UPS features a wide voltage range of 145-280 VAC,
advanced battery management technology to ensure longer battery life, cold DC
start for 17-inch CRT monitor and is inverter/generator compatible. It is also
built with low thermal dissipation and phone and network surge protection and
releases minimum noise, which is less than 45db.
The Supercomp 1KVA UPS has the input frequency 50/60hz +/- 10 percent with
input voltage 145 VAC to 280 VAC and output voltage 230 V +/- 10 percent and is
built with PWM/DC as well as sine wave/AC.
