Syntel unveils software testing solution

Syntel introduced SynTest to help corporate clients test new software applications prior to release within their companies. The solution uses a combination of software engineering teams, testing tools and methodologies to rapidly test software for a variety of situations, including possible defects, performance and load testing, regression, security and compatibility. 

SynTest covers several key software testing types including: functional regression, load/performance/stress, security, usability, integration and system, acceptance and localization. The company also leverages proven software testing tools for speed, quality, and repeatability such as those from Mercury, Rational, Compuware and Segue.

"We tackle a client's testing requirement using a proven methodology and phased approach, which starts with the testing strategy, test design, planning and test execution," said Syntel Project Director for SynTest, Srinath Mallya. For long-term engagements, it leverages knowledge management and gathers key metrics to facilitate continual improvement. Another key component of Syntel's approach is the delivery flexibility of a testing solution using SynTest. "We can test on-site at the client's location, offsite from one of our US centers, or offshore from our global development centers in Chennai at our Center of Testing Excellence," dsif Srinath. Depending on the client's need for speed and cost management, it can execute testing strategies to their desired delivery comfort level.
