Tracking solutions from Taco

MobiApps, a terrestrial and satellite communication technologies provider,
has joined hands with Tata AutoComp Systems (TACO). The joint venture aims to
sell hardware and software solutions to allow companies to manage their fleets
and track their vehicles.

Taco MobiApps Telematics or TMT has developed three kinds of solutions
Trako-25, Trako 50 and Trako 75 to suit different needs of customers. The
solutions are based on MobiApps technology, which uses global positioning and
mobile technologies to keep track of vehicles. MobiApps and TACO are investing a
total of S$2 million dollars in the venture - with TACO holding the majority
stake. The venture hopes to have 250,000 vehicles equipped with its Vehicle
Tracking Solution by 2008.
