TVS-E inks deal with Huawei

TVS Electronics (TVS-E) entered the telecom product support sector through its tie-up with Chinese telecom major, Huawei.
TVS-E´s Contract Customer Services (CCS) Business Group will provide carry-in repair services to Huawei´s Fixed Wireless Terminals (FWTs) across 110 TVS-E authorized service center locations in the country.

As part of the deal, TVS-E would be providing complete end-to-end services beginning from call center support, field support, parts management and repair support at all the locations and ensures fast turn around of the defectives. This also includes the provision of software upgrades, accessories and board level swap.

G Hari Kumar, Head, Business Development, TVS-E said, "The power of our brand name, national service network with 400 service delivery partners and our centralized multi-lingual call center, has made TVS-E one of the most effective service providers. We will work closely with Huawei in establishing world-class service setup and standards across India." 

Liu Xiao Bin, Director, International Terminal Service, Huawei adds, "We are confident that this partnership has the potential to evolve. In the long term we might even look at manufacturing our terminals in India through TVS-E."

TVS-E´s CCS division aims to do component level repair of defective boards at the Central Repair Center at Chennai. The company is exploring opportunities to manufacture these terminals at its facility in the city.
