Western Digital enhances 'SelectWD' channel program

Western Digital (WD) has announced enhancements to its 'SelectWD' channel
program. The program will now become two-tiered and include a 'SelectWD Club'
and 'SelectWD - Exclusive Club'. The SelectWD Club has been in existence since
2005 and it requires partners to register on the WD website and continue to buy
from the company. Around 500 partners are registered for this program.

The SelectWD - Exclusive Club however is an online points-based reward and
incentive program for a select group of 100 resellers and system integrators. It
will be rolled out in A-, B- and C-class cities and will have different target
slabs for each of these cities. WD will select partners who have displayed
consistent growth in purchases and induct them for this scheme. This program
will be reviewed in six months and if a partner has not been able to maintain
the momentum of business then another deserving partner will be inducted in his
place.

This new module of the program will provide an exclusive club environment to
WD's channel members by offering them various benefits, rewards and privileges.
As per the terms of the program, the members will be given reward redemptions in
the form of lifestyle items. Along with rewards, members will be invited to
exclusive events and other promotions and activities.

Commenting on the new initiative, Sharad Srivastava, WD's Sales Director,
